Well, Apollo Nida–of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” fame–has been serving his 8 year sentence in a federal penitentiary on fraud and identity theft charges since late 2014. Reportedly, Apollo’s wife–RHOA star and attorney Phaedra Parks–doesn’t accept his collect phone calls, or allows the couple’s two kids to come and visit with him. But Apollo said he hasn’t had to ride alone.
Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker have been staying in touch with Apollo, accepting his collect calls, and even sending him money, according to Apollo, who spoke on the situation in a recent interview.
Apollo revealed that he was surprised by the couple’s kindness and support, especially since his wife and the Tuckers had a now-infamous falling out on the current season of the show.
