Here’s a flashback hit from the 1980s. Powerhouse singers Kashif and Meli’sa Morgan collaborated to make “Love Changes” a Top Ten hit way back in 1986. The track is considered a Quiet Storm staple even today.
Sadly, Kashif, born Michael Jones, who was also a noted producer and foster advocate, passed away over the weekend at the age of 56.
Kashif’s long musical career began in the early 1970s in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City. Over the next 42 years, Kashif would go on to record over half a dozen albums and collaborate with everyone from Whitney Houston to Dionne Warwick to Kenny G. to Expose and Melba Moore.
A cause of death hasn’t yet been determined. Funeral arrangements are reportedly pending.
