A Walton County, Georgia, school bus driver is accused of giving 31 students a potentially deadly ride of their lives thanks to the neighborhood liquor store.
Carole Ann Etheridge was charged with DUI and 16 counts of child endangerment after cops say someone turned her in for driving under the influence with the kids on board.
Police responded to Loganville Middle school–35 miles east of Atlanta–and took Etheridge into custody. She later made a $25,762 bond and was released.
There were 31 students on the bus, but 16 were under the age of 14, Walton schools spokeswoman Callen Moore told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
