T.I. and Nelly have been good friends for years, so it should be expected that Tip would offer some encouragement to his longtime friend, who is facing allegations that he raped a suspected groupie on his tour bus while it was parked at a neighborhood Wal-Mart.
Never one to tiptoe around a subject, T.I. offered some insight–while getting a haircut–in a way that is generating criticism, with some calling him a sexist.
“I’m just sitting here thinking,” he said, “After Mike Tyson, after motherfuckin’ Tupac, after all the other motherfuckers who done been with girls and the girls got mad for whatever reason and left off and said that they raped them or whatnot, what the fuck ever happened when a motherfucker find out that the bitch was lying, my ni**a? What consequences is there for this young lady? We take ours.”
Tip had a little bit more to say on the subject:
“If more than 12 find her guilty, we got to answer to that,” he added. “But, if we find out that this wasn’t true, what the fuck happen to her? I’m sick of this shit. I’m just saying. We ain’t no motherfuckin’ targets. Get your shit together.”
Nelly has insisted he is innocent of any rape allegations.
T.I. starred in VH-1’s now-defunct, The Family Hustle, with wife Tiny. The couple recently reconciled after rumors that T.I.’s side chicks were multiplying faster than Tiny could keep up with them.
As of late, T.I. has been offering his own unique take on social issues.
