Tyrese Set To Try Out Rapping Again?

Opinionated R&B superstar Tyrese is entering the rap game, and he wants you to know it.

The 38 year old recently posted a message telling his fans that he’s preparing to drop a Jay-Z inspired album that he threatens “will change Hip Hop”.

Hold on to your hairpieces.

My motto is #IDentityTheftDoubleAlbum is Jay’s spirit, PAC’s Soul and Sonically Dre’s Ears…… I know your first instincts is to say GTFOH put me in the ( Singer and Actor box and throw away the key )…but you will see folks very very soon that this rap album is far from play play……..

Don’t sleep on him though. Tyrese previously released a 2-disc album that featured a full disc of Hip Hop with Tyrese rapping under the name, Black Ty. That was in 2006 though.

The album, entitled Alter Ego, sold 116,000 copies in its first week, and peaked at #23.

The album boasted features from The Game, Method Man, Snoop Dogg, Lil Scrappy, Kurupt, Too Short, R. Kelly, Lil Jon and Mannie Fresh.
