Since its the week of Thanksgiving, we’ll do an early Flashback Friday since posts might be MIA the day after Turkey Day…
Back in the early to mid 1990s, In Living Color was must-see TV. The show was one of FOX’s first urban-centered shows and was really a dark-skinned version of Saturday Night Live. But a whole lot funnier.
This is the show that launched Jamie Foxx, and also introduced us to Jim Carrey. Both went on to become superstars, and by the far the most successful from a cast that also included Tommy Davidson and David Alan Grier.
In this clip from the show, Jim Carrey portrayed The Vampire Lestat of then mega-popular horror movie, ‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’. He hilariously invades perpetually man-less and cosmetically challenged hood chick Wanda’s boudoir and gets more than he bargained for.
Foxx as Wanda was one of the most popular characters of the series. Wanda’s favorite line was, “I Got U”.
Get into it.
