Jennifer Hudson And Common-Law Hubby SPLIT: Abuse Alleged, Cops Called, Protection Order Issued?

Sad news about our sister Jennifer Hudson. She and longtime fiancée David Otunga are through, and things have gotten crazy, according to TMZ.

Reportedly, J. Hud and Otunga have been over for months now–and Hudson has been kickin’ it with someone else.

Allegedly, one of her producers.

But the couple continued living together. Up until now.

According to TMZ, Hudson claims Otunga has been giving her trouble so she sought and obtained an order of protection against Otunga, who she then called cops to come and eject from their home after she claims he started becoming acting erratic and volatile.

Reportedly, Hudson is seeking to maintain sole custody of their 8-year-old son, David Jr. because the singer/ actress claims Otunga is a threat not only to her, but to Jr. as well.

Hudson reportedly claimed in that protection order application that Otunga, who is 6’3″ and 240 pounds, has made harassing phone calls to her, berated her, and even left a firearm and holster prop in Jennifer’s plain view.

Several members of her family were murdered in 2008 with a handgun so the superstar hates firearms, and she says David had a sinister motive for leaving the weapon out for her to see.

“David knows that I am and have been very sensitive to firearms after my mother and my brother were murdered by a firearm.” She says, “I believe that he left it out to taunt, intimidate and frighten me, which he absolutely accomplished.”–TMZ

To buffer her claim that Otunga is a stick of dynamite waiting to explode, Hudson told court officials that David violently shoved her out of his way during a dispute at a recording studio recently.

Otunga, who at one time competed for the love of Tiffany Pollard on the reality show ‘ I Love New York’, and Hudson, who has starred in films such ad ‘Dreamgirls‘ and ‘Winnie’ have been a couple since 2008 and have been engaged for years.

Hudson came to prominence after she controversially came in as a runner up in American Idol season 3. She has since starred in a number of films, and earned an Academy Award for her starring role in 2007’s, Dreamgirls.

Otunga was briefly a WWE wrestler who, after meeting Hudson, began appearing in films and TV with minor roles.
