Murdered Postal Worker Was 22 Year Old, Recent Mother Who Had Been Stalked By Estranged Boyfriend

The post office worker who was viciously gunned down by an unidentified assailant was a 22-year-old, recent mother who had allegedly been stalked by her estranged boyfriend, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Tyrika Terrell was shot in the head outside of the U.S. Post Office in Lithonia, Georgia, last Monday where she worked.

She died from the injury over the weekend.

Terrell had reportedly been stalked by an unnamed boyfriend.

Law enforcement has not identified the boyfriend as a suspect in her murder.

Terrell reportedly gave birth less than a year ago. She had started working at the post office about a month ago.

Even more tragic, Terrell’s mother was sitting in the parking lot when her daughter was shot, waiting to pick her up from work. Police say the killer waited at a nearby laundromat before shooting Terrell.

Surveillance cameras are being reviewed to confirm the suspect’s identity.

Federal officials and DeKalb county police are jointly investigating the homicide and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
