Yesterday, the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots played at Mexico’s Estadio Azteca and veteran running back Marshan Lynch did not stand for the national anthem.
He did stand, barely, for the Mexican national anthem though.
That bothered President Donald Trump, who evidently sits and monitors stuff like that. Trump said Lynch needs to be suspended “for the remainder of the season” the next time he does that.
He also said NFL ratings are down.
Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down.

Lynch is considered one of the NFL’s all-time greatest running backs.
Last month, in a game against the Denver Broncos, Lynch wore a T-shirt that read “Everybody vs. Trump”.
