Bad news for Deshaun Watson’s growing number of fans and/or Houston Texans fans: the high-scoring QB suffered a season ending injury during practice and is done for the season.
Watson was injured during practice, which likely makes the whole thing even more frustrating for fans. Reportedly, Watson suffered an ACL tear.
Watson, who was a championship level quarterback in high school and college, was quickly becoming one of the league’s top passers, and helped make the team a top scoring offense.
Watson also received praise for his efforts to aid in Houston’s recovery after Hurricane Harvey, volunteering his time and donating his entire $30,000 first paycheck to volunteers at a local evacuation center.
Watson is expected to have off-season surgery to repair his injury.
