Trump Says He’ll Toughen Immigration In Aftermath Of NYC Terror Attack

Yesterday’s terror attack in New York City prompted U.S. President Donald Trump to remark in a series of tweets that he would seek changes in the U.S. immigration system.

Twenty nine year old Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov, an Uzbekistan native who came to the US legally in 2010, allegedly drove a rented pickup truck onto a busy bike path, crashed the truck into a school bus, then stepped outside of the vehicle brandishing imitation firearms.

8 people were killed and a dozen others were injured.

The President also took swipes at Sen. Chuck Schumer, a Democratic party leader, and seemed to blame Schumer for Saipov being in the country in the first place.

Portions of Trump’s travel ban were recently blocked by a federal court.
