5 Year Old Georgia Girl Killed In School Bus Crash

A southeast Georgia school bus driver lost control and crashed the bus this  morning, and multiple children were injured, according to various news reports.

One of the children, a five year old girl, died as a result of the accident.

The child’s identity has not yet been confirmed.

State and local police are investigating the crash, which occurred in Liberty county, near Hinesville. The bus driver has been identified as 62 year old Evelyn Rodriguez.

Rodriguez was trapped in the bus and had to be extricated from it. She was later taken to a hospital in Savannah.

Rodriguez could face criminal charges, pending an ongoing investigation.
