NY Giants FIRE Head Coach and General Manager After 10th Loss, Benching Of Eli Manning

The New York Giants are having one of their worst seasons ever, so the NFL franchise decided to cut ties with its general manager and head coach today.

Jerry Reese and Ben McAdoo are now jobless. This development comes a week after the team benched veteran quarterback Eli Manning following a loss.

Yesterday, the team clocked its 10th loss of the season as they were beaten by the also-hapless Oakland Raiders.

Reese had been with the organization since 2007; McAdoo came on board in 2016.

Many fans wanted McAdoo and Reese gone after Manning–who led the team to Super Bowl victories in 2007 and 2011–was benched in favor of Geno Smith, who has struggled mightily his entire NFL career.

In 2008, Reese became the first Black general manager of an NFL team to win a Super Bowl.

According to reports, Manning had already packed his bags to leave New York soon after his humiliating benching. Its unclear if a change in coaching and management staff will encourage Manning to stay, and possibly reclaim his position.
