Bobby Brown is not here for obviously troubled rapper Kanye West, who reportedly paid $85,000 to use a photo of the late singer Whitney Houston’s alleged crack den–for his album cover.
“Why would he post that on his album cover?”, Brown asked incredulously, in a recent Rolling Stone interview.
“That’s really disgusting that he would do that,” Brown added. “That’s in really bad taste”, he said.
The photo in question, taken around 2005, displayed a filthy and shocking collage of drugs and drug paraphernalia inside Whitney’s home. At the time, it was widely rumored that Whitney had a significant drug addiction.
The photo, though, made many fans believe her addiction was much worse than anybody thought.
Whitney died partly due to a drug overdose in 2012.
Bobby and Whitney were married for several years, and the couple were married when the photo was first published by the National Enquirer.
Many fans blamed Brown for Whitney’s out of control and well-publicized drug abuse. Brown has long denied being the person who introduced Whitney to hard drugs.
All that said, it’s a no-brainer that Bobby would feel some type of way over Kanye’s move. Brown said Kanye is “crazy”, and then added he thinks West needs to be taught a lesson.
“Something should happen to Kanye. He’s already crazy. I knew that when I first met him. Now he’s pushing the bar a little bit. He needs somebody to slap him up or something. And I’m just the person to do it.”
Kanye’s newest album, Love Everyone, drops tomorrow (June 1).
In promoting his newest LP, the once-beloved West has made the media rounds, while making a fool of himself by making a number of illogical statements, including claiming slavery was a choice.
