Rachel Dolezal, Former White NAACP Leader Who Pretended To Be Black, Charged With $8,847 WELFARE FRAUD

Rachel Dolezal is back in the news again. The former NAACP official, who became a national topic of discussion after she was outed as being a White woman pretending to be a Black woman, has been charged with welfare fraud, according to reports.

Dolezal, who changed her name to Nkechi Diallo back in 2016, allegedly continued to collect welfare benefits while state officials say she had banked around $84,000 from book and speaking fees.

Dolezal also reportedly earned a grip selling black soap and Black-themed, handmade dolls.

But welfare recipients are required to report any extra income immediately, which Washington state officials claim Dolezal failed to fully do.

A subsequent investigation led to Dolezal being charged her with first-degree theft by welfare fraud, second-degree perjury and false verification for public assistance.

Dolezal faces a potential prison sentence if convicted.
