T.I. Told Gated Community Guard, “Don’t You Know Who I Am?!”–And Still Ended Up In Jail: Report

Rapper T.I. was arrested overnight outside his residence in a gated community 20 miles south of Atlanta overnight.

According to reports, T.I. arrived home at 4 A.M. without his keys and a guard at the entrance refused to let him into the exclusive Henry county enclave.

T.I. reportedly became livid, argued with the guard and, that having failed, he then summoned a friend to vouch for his identity–and to argue with the guard as well.

A some point, an enraged T.I. reportedly told the guard, “Don’t You Know Who I Am?!”

Evidently, the guard either did not know or did not care, and neither did police, who arrived at the scene and promptly arrested both T.I. and his friend.

Tip was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

An assault charge was also thrown in against Tip for some reason.

He was later released on a cash bond. His friend had an outstanding warrant.

T.I. is familiar with the discomfort of a jail cell: he previously served time in jail and in federal prison on gun charges a decade ago. This arrest is his first in quite awhile.

A lit-looking Tip still managed to cheese a little for the above mug shot though.

Meanwhile, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms appointed T.I. to an advisory position in her new adminstration.

No word on whether this arrest will impact that.
