Indicted longtime Trump personal lawyer Michael Cohen’s lawyers are expected to withdraw from his case–and now the lawyer, who has been labeled the president’s “Fixer”, and his “Pit Bull”, could be preparing to cooperate with the federal government in a pending investigation, according to ABC News.
Cohen, who is under federal investigation now with no legal representation, is likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors in Manhattan, sources said. This development, which is believed to be imminent, will likely hit the White House, family members, staffers and counsels hard.
Two sources who are familiar with a warrant in the case told ABC News in April that federal agents were hunting for records tied to Cohen’s personal business dealings and secret deals with alleged mistresses, media organizations and the 2016 presidential campaign..–ABC News
Cohen is a longtime Trump confidante who once served as a top executive in Trump Entertainment.
Right now, its not concrete that Cohen is actually planning to cooperate with the feds–or is just looking for new lawyers.
But widespread media reports are speculating that he might just be preparing to talk–and various news outlets report that what he might say, if he talks, could prove potentially legally problematic for the president.
Cohen played a pivotal role in an alleged payoff money shuttled to Stormy Daniels, a porn star who claims she had an affair with the president.
