Vet Upset With Veterans Administration Sets Himself On Fire at Georgia State Capitol

A veteran who news reports have labeled “disgruntled” set himself on fire with a flammable liquid and homemade explosives at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta this morning, according to reports.

The unidentified 58-year-old man is from Mableton, a suburb outside of Atlanta. He has burns covering 85 to 90 percent of his body.

A state trooper reportedly brought a fire extinguisher from the capitol building to extenguish the man, who was covered in flames.

The man is said to be speaking and told investigators he’s upset with the Veterans Administration (VA).

The man’s vehicle was ID’d in the parking lot, and was being checked for explosive devices.

The incident occurred while state officials were holding a news conference explaining Georgia’s new hands-free driving law.
