Back in March, Young Jeezy announced his retirement from the rap game, promising his last album will be Thug Motivation 104, which currently doesn’t have a drop date.
However, Jeezy says he’s now redirecting his focus to Hollywood. According to TMZ, the Trap Or Die rapper, who relocated from Atlanta to Hollywood, is already auditioning and has big plans for the big screen:
The rapper tells TMZ he moved to L.A. specifically for the purpose of breaking into acting. He says he’s signed with UTA — a super big talent agency — and has been auditioning for roles, primarily in movies.
He’s supremely confident, telling us, “Will Smith, watch out!”–TMZ
Will Smith is one of many rappers, including DMX and Ludacris, who turned platinum selling rap careers into major motion picture roles.
Jeezy also told TMZ he’s producing several projects.
Jeezy previously appeared as himself in the 2009 film Janky Promoters.
