After slight improvement from last season but yet another loss this season, the NFL’s Cleveland Browns have decided to send their head coach, Hue Jackson, packing.
Also shown the door was the team’s offensive coordinator, Todd Haley, after the team struggled to score points against the team’s perennial tormentor, the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game the Browns lost 33-18.
The team is now 2-5-1.
There was reportedly beef between Jackson and Haley.
There were rumblings that the relationship between Jackson and Haley had deteriorated to the point that a move might have to be made. Haley was in his first season with the Browns after serving as the Steelers’ offensive coordinator from 2012-17.–ESPN
Jackson had been one of the Browns’ least successful head coaches in the expansion team’s history: Cleveland was 1-15 in his first season and 0-16 last season under Jackson’s guidance.
