‘How High 2’ Movie Seeks Black Men For Roles; Petition Demands Method Man and Redman Appearances

MTV is filming the sequel to 2001 stoner cult film ‘How High’, which starred rap vets Method Man and Redman. The film is being shot in Atlanta and will star homegrown rapper Lil Yachty and other ATLiens including Lil Baby, DC Young Fly, DeRay Davis, and reality star Nene Leakes.

The straight-to-network film will air on MTV in 2019, and began production last month.

Lil Yachty plays Roger, an entrepreneur and the younger brother of one of the stars from the original film. According to MTV’s description, Roger and his friend go “on a magical hash-fueled journey to fund their on-demand munchies delivery start-up.”

Roles are still being filmed, however, and producers are looking for “African-American men, ages 18 to 30, to play frat guys”, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Filming will be in Atlanta on Oct. 10-12. You’ll need to be available on both days.

Pay is $75 for 8 hours of work.

Submit the information below to HH@Extras@gmail.com with the subject line “FRAT GUY ( ALL 3 DAYS)”:

– VISIBLE TATTOOS? IF SO WHERE?

Meanwhile, some fans are pissed that the original movie’s stars don’t seem to have roles in the film they made stoner-famous, so they’ve started a petition calling for Meth and Red to be included in the cast–or at least get a cameo.

“This is a travesty and an injustice! We need your signatures to show that they need to be included in the sequel,” reads a statement on the petition website.

Entertainment Weekly rated the ‘How High’ third in their “Best Stoner Movie” top ten list.
