Suspicious Package Addressed To CNN Spurs Evacuation Of Atlanta Post Office

Just days after federal authorities tracked down and arrested a suspect in the mailing of explosive devises to various high-profile Democratic figures around the country, yet another suspicious package has been discovered.

This time, a package addressed to CNN was discovered at a post office near downtown Atlanta.

According to WSB-TV, the vicinity around the post office has been closed as officials conduct an investigation: Pryor St. and Central Ave. are both closed between Rawson St. and Fulton St. SW.

About a dozen post office employees were evacuated.

Last week, authorities tracked down a south Florida man, Cesar Sayoc, and jailed him on half a dozen federal charges related to him allegedly sending destructive devices by U.S. Mail to the Obamas, Clintons, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, actor Robert De Niro, billionaire businessman George Soros and others.

Fortunately, no one has been hurt by any of the devices.

Authorities said Sayoc could face additional charges.

Law enforcement officials cautioned last week, after Sayoc’s arrest, that more bombs could be in circulation.
