President’s Trump’s Former Attorney Pleads Guilty To Lying To Congress Over Russia Meeting

Michael Cohen, the New York attorney who was once described as President Dinald Trump’s “fixer”, has pleaded guilty to lying to Congress during private testimony last year about his contacts with Russia during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Cohen is cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian collusion during the campaign.

Mr. Cohen did not speak after this morning’s hearing, but his attorney told reporters, “Mr. Cohen has cooperated. Mr. Cohen will continue to cooperate.”

That could be very bad news for Trump, since Cohen reportedly knows all the President’s private tea. Trump also faces unknown findings by Mueller, along with an incoming Democratic-lead House that has promised to investigate it all.

According to news reports, the President is worried that new indictments of folks close to him could be just around the corner.

Trump has repeatedly labeled the Mueller investigation–which has resulted in a number of indictments, plea arrangements and guilty pleas–a “witch hunt”.

Cohen is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 12.
