Prayers are in order for multi-Grammy winning R&B icon Peabo Bryson, who has been hospitalized after suffering what reports indicate is a mild heart attack he suffered over the weekend.

“At this time, privacy is requested; however, the thoughts and prayers of friends and fans are welcomed and appreciated”, a rep for the singer said in a statement.

Peabo Bryson is widely-recognized for releasing a series of powerful ballads over many years that include hits such as “I’m So Into You”, “Feel The Fire”, and “A Whole New World” with another singing powerhouse, Regina Belle.

The beloved Bryson, who is an Atlanta resident, is reportedly expected to make a full recovery.

Just a few days ago, Peabo Bryson posted a vid onto social media showing him getting jiggy with it at a recent event:

Peabo Bryson has recorded nearly two dozen albums, starting with his 1976
self-titled debut, Peabo, which featured Luther Vandross on backing vocals.

Here’s Peabo doing his thing only the way he can with another of his many hits, 1991’s “Can You Stop The Rain”:

Get better soon, Mr. Peabo.
