Kevin Hunter, husband of talk show queen Wendy Williams, is finally speaking out after all their divorce business has now hit the streets.
In a statement to entertainment website The Blaze, Hunter acknowledges the infidelity that led his long-suffering, popular wife to file for divorce last week; reportedly, Hunter was served with divorce papers on the set of The Wendy Williams Show, which his wife hosts, and where he works as a producer.
28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams. At the time, I didn’t realize that she would not only become my wife, but would also change the face of entertainment and the world. I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally.
He continues, “I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”
In regards to the future, he says, “No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine. I ask that you please give me and my family privacy as we heal. Thank you.
For months, the couple had been dogged by rumors that not only was Kevin in way deep with a side chick-turned-baby mama, Sharina Hudson, but that he’d went a step further and was spending time with her in a home he purchased for her–down the street from the home he shared with Wendy!
Then came news last month that Kevin’s concubine had given birth to a bouncing baby girl.
All of this came amid a backdrop of Wendy checking into a NYC “sober house” that was criticized by some in the media for looking like a crack house, ironically.
Wendy was criticized by some for being able to throw everybody else’s tea, and yet trying her hardest to keep her own tea quiet.
But the beloved talk show hostess came back on Monday looking rested and confident as she referenced her headline-making split. She told her audience she looked forward to a “new life” with her college-attending son, and presumably without her cheating husband.
