‘DMX Challenge’ Goes Viral

You never know what to expect when you hear the name “DMX” these days, but my first thought was where and what did this man do to get himself locked up this time, and how come they keep catching him doin’ it?

But fortunately, a new challenge featuring the Hip Hop legend’s name that’s taking off on social media has nothing to do with incarceration; its about switching up hairstyles/looks.

The #DMXChallenge is based on DMX’s 1999 hit, “What They Really Want,” featuring then-hot Sisqo. DMX raps about all the chicks he’s bedded–and puts a name on them.

“There was Brenda, LaTisha, Linda, Felicia, Dawn, LeShaun, Ines and Alicia, Teresa, Monica, Sharron, Nicki, Lisa, Veronica, Karen, Vicky (damn), Cookie, well I met her in a ice cream parlor, Tonya, Diane, Lori and Carla, Marina, Selena, Katrina, Sabrina, about three Kims (WHAT?) LaToya and Tina, Shelley, Bridget, Cathy, Rasheeda, Kelly, Nicole, Angel, Juanita, Stacy, Tracie, Ronna and Ronda, Donna, Yolanda, Tawana and Wanda.”

The challenge is to switch up styles/looks to match each name in the long list that DMX recited.

Seeing that store-bought hair costs a ton of cash, its unclear how long this latest challenge will last, and how many folks will participate.
