Pop Smoke Fatally Shot At Home He Was Renting From ‘Real Housewives’ Star

NYC rapper Pop Smoke was shot and killed during a reported home invasion robbery at a Hollywood Hills home in Los Angeles overnight that he was renting from ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ star Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, according to reports.

At least four unidentified, hoodie-wearing gunmen are reportedly responsible for killing Smoke, and are on the loose as police have reported no arrests made at this time.

Mellencamp-Arroyave, 38, who is the daughter of 80s rock star John Cougar Mellencamp, took to social media to point out that Smoke, a rapid up and comer whose best known hit was “Welcome To The Party”, was a renter at the property, and evidently was leasing through a rental management firm; she also declined to name who he was, but did thank the cops–who haven’t identified any suspect(s)–for their work.

Early this am we were informed by a 3rd party leasing and management company overseeing a rental home we own in Los Angeles that a shooting had taken place at the property.
Foremost, we would like to extend our prayers and condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss of life.
We aren’t aware of any of the details beyond what we’ve been told or seen reported on the news and at this time we would like to refrain from commenting further as we wish for the focus to remain on the law enforcement officers who are diligently doing their jobs.

Pop Smoke–who was candid about his past criminal inclinations–was 20 years old, and had recently made headlines after he was charged with allegedly taking a nearly $400,000 Rolls-Royce from California to New York.

He leaves behind a promising rap career, in which many compared him to rap mogul 50 Cent, who recorded chart-toppers in the 2000s.

Mellencamp Arroyave is the second ‘Real Housewife’ to have indirectly endured gun violence over the past few days; on Valentine’s Day, a gunman entered the Old Lady Gang restaurant in East Point, Georgia, and unloaded rounds that struck three people. The OLG eatery is owned by Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss.

That gunman is also on the loose.
